Downloadable content is for individual personal use only. It must not be copied, re-distributed, re-sold or used for any commercial activities. The quality or accuracy of downloaded content is not guaranteed and you use it entirely at your own risk.
Returns of digital items
Due to the very nature of digital subscriptions, e-books and other such digital products, these items cannot be returned.
Right to refuse your order
We reserve the right to refuse any order and are not obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Price Changes
Generally speaking your subscription pricing will stay at the price you signed up at. In other words, if there’s a price hike it will only impact new subscribers. We do reserve the right to change the pricing for existing subscribers – under such circumstances we will give you 14 days notice so you have time to cancel your membership if needs be. Such notifications will be issued by e-mail to the address given on your membership profile.
Member Conduct
Your account will give you access to post comments on articles. We therefore expect you to conduct yourself as if you were talking to people face-to-face. We’re ardent advocates of free speech. That said we want this to be a safe and pleasant space for like-minded individuals to learn and discuss ideas. In most cases common sense will apply and if things are getting out of hand we’ll try to let you know. The following will not be tolerated:
- Links to illegal or adult sites
- Spam
- Excessively bad language
- Generally being a dick

Minecraft Server
A subscription to the Member Zone gives you access to the Gosforth Handyman Minecraft server. Access will be granted based on your Minecraft username as shown in your member profile. By joining the server you agree to the latest Minecraft Server Rules shown here along with general information available here and shown on Discord. Blatant disregard of the rules (e.g. cheating or griefing) may result in an instant ban and termination of your membership without a refund.
We’re running things on a fairly decent server but service up-time is not guaranteed and occasionally the server will be down to allow for backups and maintenance. Backups and maintenance windows will be notified via Discord.
Cancelling your Membership
We want to set your mind at rest that your membership subscription can’t be abused and can easily be cancelled at any time. Simply navigate to the ‘My Account‘ section and click ‘Cancel’ in the ‘My Memberships’ section:
The above is the best way to cancel your membership since the whole process is automated. If you have any problems please get in touch. As a last resort you can also carry out a manual cancellation using the details below:
Manual PayPal Cancellation
Please only carry out a manual cancellation as a last resort – always cancel directly via this website or by contacting us if at all possible. If you paid by PayPal simply log on to your PayPal account and follow these steps:
- Click the ‘Settings’ button (the cog in the top right)
- Click ‘Payments’
- Click ‘View’ to manage your automatic payments
- Select the payment to ‘MacLellan Creative Ltd.’ and click ‘Cancel’
Manual Credit Card Cancellation
Credit card payments are handled via Stripe. Please only carry out a manual cancellation as a last resort – always cancel directly via the website or by contacting us if at all possible. If you paid by credit card just contact your card provider and ask them to cancel the pre-approved subscription to ‘Gosforth Handyman’.
Advert-free Videos
Video content is hosted on YouTube with monetisation turned off. That means adverts shouldn’t be shown and we receive no income from YouTube for any non-public videos on the Member Zone. In rare circumstances YouTube may override these settings and show adverts regardless. This is beyond frustrating and out of our control. It can be triggered by something as simple as background music picked up by the microphone (for example playing on the radio). If you notice this happening do get in touch and we’ll try to fix it. Unfortunately as such completely advert-free videos cannot be guaranteed.
Access to Historic Content
Your membership subscription will give you access to all past, current and future video content published to the Member Zone for as long as you have a valid subscription. If you cancel your subscription you may still have access to historic content via your YouTube watch history. This is not guaranteed as the URL to member-only videos may change over time. The only way to guarantee access to historic content is to have a current valid subscription.
Member Misconduct
In the very unlikely event of repeated member misconduct we reserve the right to terminate your membership of this site without notice. You may request a prorated refund of membership fees by contacting us.
Governing law
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
Variation of terms
These terms and conditions can be changed at any time without notice.
