In a nutshell

• No cheating (e.g. no X-ray or hacks)
• No griefing
• No harassment
• Make your own rules for your own base (please use signs!)
• Don’t be a dick

Common courtesy rules

• Don’t break other players’ builds
• Don’t loot other players’ stuff
• Don’t use other players’ mines without permission
• Don’t interact with other players’ villagers without permission
• Don’t loot excessive rare items (see below)
• Respect signs
• Try not to leave floating trees
• Try to fill creeper holes
• No building on the nether roof

General notes

• Please keep the spawn / city area tidy
• The world seed is unavailable – knowing the seed makes life WAY too easy!
• To improve performance the server automatically re-boots at 3am (GMT) every Sunday – allow around 5 minutes for it to come back online
• Server footage / builds may be filmed and put on YouTube etc.
• Derelict bases (players who have unsubscribed from the server) may end up getting removed or re-developed over time
• Discord is the primary off-server communication method so please keep up to date with discussions and announcements over there
• Press ‘T’ for in-game chat. Remember EVERYONE can see this and chat history is logged on the server – stick to Discord for more in-depth discussions and never post any confidential information
• For security reasons inactive accounts may be removed from the whitelist from time to time. Providing you still have an active membership you can be re-whitelisted at any time. Just drop me a note or give me a shout on Discord.

Looting of rare items

This information is for more advanced players looking for things such as an Elytra and Netherite armour. If that’s not on your to-do list you can by-pass this section.

Elytra

An Elytra lets you fly. It’s fairly normal to have more than one Elytra. A primary one and then a couple of spares so that you can (hopefully!) retrieve your primary one if you die. If all of the End Ships near the central End Island are looted by the same player then this makes life quite awkward for newer players joining the server. They end up having to ‘bridge’ for miles before finding yet another raided End Ship and this can be very frustrating.

As such once you have your first Elytra use that to head much further out for your additional stock. No hard and fast rules here but if you find two End Ships close together perhaps leave an Elytra in one of them. I grabbed my backup Elytras from 10,000 blocks out! When you’re on a search for your first Elytra I would suggest bringing:

• An anvil
• A Mending enchantment book
• An Unbreaking enchantment book
• Plenty of rockets

You can then ‘recharge’ your Elytra by killing lots of Endermen, and there’s plenty of those in the End! If you’re really paranoid (like me) you can put your Elytra in an Ender Chest while doing anything vaguely risky.

Another more advanced solution is to re-spawn the Ender Dragon to open up a new End Gateway Portal (max 20). This will potentially take you to an unexplored section of the Outer End Islands. Good luck – it took me 2-3 hours to find my first one! If you want to be really kind and you have some spare time on your hands, you can re-stock some closer End Ships with Elytra from further afield. I’m sure new players would be eternally grateful. ☺️

Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template

To obtain the best armour in the game you’ll need a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template. These are exclusively available from Bastions in the Nether. Bastions are scary and if you don’t know what you’re doing you WILL die (several times).

There’s hardly any Bastions near spawn so you’ll probably have to head out quite far in the Nether to find one (1,000+ blocks). Please only take ONE! You can duplicate it yourself once you have one.

Again, if you’re feeling particularly kind you can duplicate it and leave the original smithing template in the Bastion for the next player to find. To do this you’ll need a crafting table, 7 diamonds, the original smithing template and some netherrack.

If you can’t be bothered with all that, as the server matures I’m sure there’ll be an opportunity to buy the above from other players. 😅
